When does the January transfer window close?

Jorginho signs for Arsenal in 2023

The start of a new year means that the January transfer window is back open, allowing clubs to tweak their squads one final time before they’re locked in for the remainder of the campaign.

The Premier League’s winter window opened on Wednesday, January 1 as Big Ben chimed in 2025, and our opportunity to acquire new players or allow some to depart runs until deadline day on Monday, February 3 at 11pm UK time

That is the same for the majority of Europe’s top leagues, albeit with different finish times, while Italy finishes its business a day earlier. The Saudi Pro League’s window runs until January 30, while Turkey keeps going until February 11.

Last year was a quiet window for us with no major incomings or departures taking place, but two years ago we moved to sign Jorginho, Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior during a busy few weeks.
