We had four players out on loan getting minutes under their belts last week.
Serie A’s high-flying Lazio suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Roma, which Nuno Tavares played 89 minutes of, taking his appearance tally for 2024/25 up to 16 games in all competitions.
They’re now fourth in the division with 35 points from 19 games.
It was a disappointing weekend for our two loanees who were involved in the Copa del Rey, as Albert Sambi Lokonga and Karl Hein were both eliminated at the round of 32 stage with Sevilla and Real Valladolid respectively.
The former lost 4-1 away to Almeria, while Valladolid were beaten 3-2 at Ourense. Hein came off at half-time with an injury.
In the Football League, Charles Sagoe Jr played 69 minutes of Shrewsbury Town’s 1-1 draw away to Blackpool on Wednesday.
He wasn’t in the squad for Saturday’s 1-0 defeat away to Leyton Orient, which left Shrewsbury 22nd in League One.
